William Wishart (secundus) (1691/2-1753) was the Principal of Edinburgh University from 1736 to 1753. He is not to be confused with William Wishart (primus) who was principal from 1716 to 1730. He was also a Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
He was a critic of George Berkeley[1] and David Hume[2], and author of A Letter from a Gentleman (1745).
